So, Julie Tolman chastised me because she had not seen any new letters from Scott on his blog for a couple of weeks.  She is paying attention!!!!  Here are two weeks worth.  He is enjoying his time in Gangnam and we are happy for him.  And the pictures look fuzzy, I don't know why. =(

And then there were pictures...5 messages

Hey President!!
This week has been really good.  Really busy, but really good all the same.  Our investigator did indeed get baptized and he seems to be getting in line with things.  I am worried that he may become offended at something someone says at some point in the future because regrettable he is  a very presumptuous person.  He was talking to Elder Hale about his shoes (adidas) at church yesterday and Elder Hale mentioned wearing nice clothes to church, just to keep reverence.  About 3 hours later, the guy thought Elder Hale compared his shoes to Nazis...  He should be fine though, Just kind of a fun fact, but we will work with him on it.
We're doing great over here, as I had mentioned in interviews, the only thing lacking in Elder Hale's preparation was Korean, and he's getting better and better every day.  Thanks again so much for this oportunity to serve the people in 강남, it's an awesome area, and I love it more and more everyday.
I'll make more of a concerted effort to keep my emails short, especially with the increase in missionaries.  I'm excited for what the future brings!!

Hey everyone that lives not in Korea!  Well potentially not living in Korea.  I think Murphy still reads this and he is in Korea.  Hey Murphy!  shout out!  I haven't eaten any 닭갈비 since I moved here.  I miss it.  Untangent, yeah!  So how's everyone doing!?!?  I hope all is still good.  모든 것 잘 되세요?  I hope so!  This week has been pretty solid for us!
Like I said last week, last monday was not our pday after all, but it was a solid day nonetheless.  We got around to a whole bunch of different places, and talked to lots of people!  Always super fun!  We walked by this place where this guy we've talked to before works and talked to him again.  Last time we gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would read it.  We asked him about it, and he seemed like either he didn't actually read it and was just telling us that he did read it, or he has very little interest in religion.  Nice guy though.  Can't say I was too stoked that he didn't express too much interest in the Book of Mormon though.  We'll walk by again at some points in the future, and hopefully he can acquire some interest.
That night we taught our investigator with our ward mission leader.  The investigator later told  us that he didn't really like it too much because he doesn't know the ward mission leader, but I think it was necessary because, if we hadn't done that there was legitimately no way that he would have focused enough for us to teach him effectively.  He has this problem where he is obsessed with talking about Germany, WWII, cars, America and what's wrong with it.  All sorts of stuff.  Also he's afraid of large corporations.  A lot.  Good person though!  You don't have to be normal to be a member of the church.  Well we are indeed a peculiar people.  teehee.
Oh, important news!  Our good buddy Elder Brewer, the one who was injured, is now almost in tip top shape!  He had sprained both of his ankles, and couldn't walk or really do much of anything, but now, he can get almost anywhere, and is back on top of his area!  Woohoo for Elder Brewer!  And all of us really because now we can both more effectively focus on our areas!
Tuesday was cool, we met with a couple of our recent converts.  We ended up getting dinner with one, and then just meeting with the other.  The first, I was initially having trouble liking him, because he corrects my Korean all the time, which bugs a ton.  I learned Korean in Seoul, and he's from this other place called 졸라도 I think.  it's basically the equivalent of having someone from Scotland, come to LA and tell you your English is wrong.  provided it's your second language.  Anyways, I like him now!  Or at least am trying to more and more every day!!!
The second guy, he is kind of struggling.  There was no one that really fellowshipped him very well.  Not for lack of effort mind you!  He had a couple people try to, but he kind of pushed them away, and is now just kind of attached to the missionaries.  He's getting better though!  Whenever we meet with him, we just kind of let him talk it out and he basically ends up figuring out his own problems every single time.  I guess it's just the situation and people to talk to that he needs or something.
Wednesday was pretty awesome.  We went to a 돈까스 buffet for lunch.  돈까스 is deep fried pork in this really good sauce.  It's good when it's not all you can eat, but add that to it and it's basically the best meal ever!  So awesome, and it was pretty cheap too.  I don't know if I told you this or not, but buffets are a big thing here in Korea.  All different kinds of them.
District meeting was good.  I'm getting better at being just a member of the district instead of being the district leader.  It's kind of an awkward switch, but I think it's good.  Our district leader is a way better leader than I ever was!  Guy is super fun too.  Also we have poetry slam jam every week before district meeting.  Still somewhat unsure about that though.  I'm not the poetic type as I'm sure you are aware, but there's always fun to be had right?
Thursday we had temple day which was legit!  We went to the temple which is always fun. Temple days are always super awesome.  It was also pday, so we went and had lunch at costco which a member paid for.  There were ten missionaries there, and this member, not even from our stake, offers to pay for us.  He bought us like 5 pizzas.  Guy was so awesome.  The beginning of a series of miracles of food this week!
After lunch we went to a bath house which was fun.  I didn't always like bath houses, but it was very relaxing this time.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  After which, we went to this underground market to try and find some stuff for some people in the realm of clothes, more particularly winter clothes.  Apparently I'm the authority on these things now...  Don't know how that happened.  People keep asking me what's good and stuff.  I just go by the "if you can endure blistering coldness better as a result of this clothing item and it's cheap then buy it" mindset sometimes.  Mostly I just go by the "I already endured one winter, what's one more?" mindset nowadays.
That night we met our investigator and prepared him for the baptismal interview, or rather confirmed with him that he is prepared.  Dude was so ready.  All the things that would normally be difficult for an investigator, he brought up on his own will and pointed out that they were bad like drinking and smoking and doing things that don't help you focus on Christ on the sabbath.  Guy was so golden!
Friday was also good.  We had a meal with a member at this restaurant called VIPS, which is a steak and buffet restaurant.  Guy spent so much stinking money on us, but I guess that's what happens here...  Anyways, I don't remember if I've said this before, but in Korea, if you don't eat a ton of food, it's kind of disrespectful.  If you eat a ton of food on the other hand, it's good for making relationships.  I was dead set on having a good relationship with this guy though!  The baseline for satisfying people who buy you food is like 5 plates, and I think I had 8 or 9.  Not bragging.  That was uncomfortable, but it was worth it.  The guy likes us now!  So much so that the same night, when we were at the church for our investigators interview, he heard that we were going to go get food before the interview, and told us not to and ordered pizza.  Guys a boss!  Our investigator passed the interview and was ready more or less for baptism!
The next day was his baptism and it all went super well!  After that and English class, the investigator/new member tweener person took us out to another buffet!  That's 3 in one week!  How crazy is that?  It wasn't as good as VIPS unfortunately though.  Still good though!
Sunday was awesome.  Our investigator was confirmed and is now a member of the church!  He's probably the person I have played the most active role in preparing to be baptized since I got to Korea!  So awesome the guy was so ready.  I just hope the members show him the love that he needs!
This week was super busy like I said, but it has been so awesome.  I'm super tired today as a result of all the business, but I wouldn't have it any other way!  I know that this is 100% where I'm supposed to be right now.  Keep being awesome and do your best wherever you are.  Whatever you do.  Whomever you are.  That's all the Lord asks of us!

Hey President!

It's been a good week this week. We have a baptism coming up this weekend, and he seems like he'll be ready. My only concern is how aware of the situation he is. He knows he has a baptism, and he knows he's taking the name of the Lord upon him for the rest of his life and eternity, but I still feel like there's something he's missing. He's got a great heart though, and should be good to go for Saturday if you would like to come.
That investigator actually gets distracted really easy and thursday we had a lesson and we barely got through any of it because all he wanted to talk about was Germany and how they're good because they make good cars and so on and so forth. It was kind of a dead lesson, but he's still doing okay with reading the Book of Mormon. He likes the story and wants to know of it's truthfulness. That being said I was still frustrated with that lesson
BUT!~ The next day we had an awesome lesson with an investigator that I had speculated wasn't really going anywhere and was just kind of using us to teach her son English. Sometimes I guess you just have to truck on the through the frustration to get the awesome blessing. Oh wait, that's pretty much everytime if I'm not mistaken. Good experience though.

It was so great to talk to you on Thursday! Teaching one of our investigators how to read the Book of Mormon the way you suggested is the reason he's reading! Thanks so much for that advice! All pointers are most certainly welcome!

Hello Everybody!
This week has been good!  Kind of long but a good week nonetheless!  Very busy too!  It's always good to be busy as a missionary.  For the earlier part of the week we had to switch off shifts staying at home with our injured compadre who wasn't quite able to make his way out of the house.  That left us with pretty much twice as many appointments as usual.  I'm certainly not complaining, I love appointments!  They're the best!  Made it lots of fun, but also made it so we had to spend even more money on travel than we normally do.  That being said, I'm a little lacking in the money department, but I'll survive there are certainly worse reasons to be out of money.
I'm actually pretty bummed that the dodgers are out of the running for the world series now, and it's not cause I'm a baseball fan!   Do you want to know why?  It is because of Number 99!  Not sure if you folks know, but 99 is named Ryu Hyun Jin or Hyun Jin Ryu for those of you who say Korean names backwards.  Anyways, yes he's Korean, and Koreans love their Korean professional athletes that are abroad.  It was a super easy conversation starter.  I could more or less go up to any guy and start asking about the Dodgers.  Being that I'm from where the Dodgers are kinda based (Koreans don't know Southern Californian geography, I just say I'm from LA) I hit it off with people all the time.  Now I've got to wipe that conversation starter off the list until like April...
District meeting was pretty cool this week.  I was the dinosaur of the district.  I am by far the oldest in mission age in our district.  How far?  The next person is the same age in the mission as Elder Mumford, whom I trained almost 6 months ago.  No big deal or anything, just skin and bones with my cane over here.  Probable just gonna blow away with the wind some day soon.  Fun fact, my district leader has decided to start doing the slam poetry jam before district meetings.  We (non inclusive of me) will be sharing poems every week before district meeting.  Not sure how I feel about this, I will give you future updates in the coming weeks.
Thursday was pretty legit, we had president interviews which are always just awesome.  It was at this church that was the most wheel chair accessible because our friend Elder Brewer was still wheel chair bound.  At said church, there was a violin there.  Let me tell you folks, violin is not the easiest instrument.  I have got a long ways to go before I've got it down, but I did figure out Yankee Doodle.  Get at me Lindsay Sterling!!  The interview was pretty great too.  President says that I'll be training again in not too long.  I've come to the conclusion that this was a well needed rest for a moment BUT!  I'm stoked to train people again!  Also it was Nate's birthday!  Happy birthday again brudda.
We were also on exchanges starting thursday and that was pretty fun.  The Elder I was with is Elder Nixon and he's my district leaders companion.  Guy is super hilarious and is down to be a missionary.  We had a good time and he helped teach our investigator who is going to get baptized on Saturday!!!  Provided he is prepared and knows why he is being baptized.  He's a good guy and I know he'll be fine.  He just keeps talking about BYU way too much recently and it's really starting to bug me.  Our plan tonight is to tell him that if he wants to be baptized he really needs to focus more and not worry about BYU or any of that stuff.  It's true.  He really does.  Also we'll have our ward mission leader there tonight which should help keep our investigators ramblings on a leash a little bit.
friday, Lindsay's birthday!  Heyy der happy birthday 누나!  That was a really good day.  We had weekly planning after finishing our exchange.  That went as good as it goes.  Weekly planning does get kind of tiring but it's necessary, so we try and do a good job.  Afterwards we went and met with the inviestigator who I thought was just kind of using us to teach her son English, but it went really well!!!  She even invited her nephew over to study English and he prayed at the end of our lesson.  Super cool.  This is legit only like the second family I've taught on my mission.
Saturday was kind of long, but it went well.  We didn't have to pay for any meals that day!!  That's what's up!  That and both the meals we were provided were by super awesome people.  Lunch was from this guy who is really nice and very mild mannered.  Not super interested in our church, but has a very solid belief in God, and I swear if he just knew about our church would practically jump in the font, but he's happy where he's at and said he doesn't have interest in learning really.  Hopefully we can get him some desire to learn.  Dinner was with these two English class members who are super funny.  They make me laugh all the time, and happen to take us to get really tasty food.  They tried calling me by my first name and I just didn't respond.  It just didn't click to me that they were saying my name for a solid like 7 or 8 times of them saying my name.  Funny stuff.
Church was good.  I wanted to talk to more members and stuff but our investigator was tailing me like Michael Weston on the people who burned him so it was a little difficult too.  Slightly concerned me about the intentions of my investigator and oir ward with fellowshipping.  We'll work on it in the coming weeks.
Well I'm out of time and have to go proselyte because today is not Pday!  Thursday is!  We're going to the temple!  Yayyyyyy excited!

Love you all and keep on keeping on!  Everyday can be better than the last!

Hey President!

Super excited for interviews this week. I'm particularly grateful right now for that input you gave me last night about helping investigators read the Book of Mormon. I really do believe that is something that I have stood in need of dearly with regards to helping out investigators. I am still very excited to help out and work here in Gangnam area. The sisters will be very well received but I've decided it may be better not to bring it up to the ward. I'll just let them know when we can say for sure.
I'm beginning to see the similarities between your story as sunday school president and how I'm doing over here right now. Elder Hale is just a work horse, and has his mind set on getting things done. I'm really glad I get to learn from him and hope that I can help him so he is prepared to train or whatever the need may be in the not too distant future.

I hope all is going well for you! The offer still stands, if you stand in need of something, just let me know! I'd love to help in whatever way I can!

Hey Everybody!!!!
How are you all doing? Great?  I certainly hope so.  I bet you might be expecting me to talk a whole bunch about General Conference and how stinking awesome it was and stuff huh?  I would love to do that, but we only saw like two sessions and they were in Korean.  You people that spoke other languages on your mission may be shaking your head, but ask pretty much anyone and they'll tell you that it's stinking hard to understand church stuff in Korean.  I plan on watching it in English at some point in the coming weeks.  From what I gather it was pretty good though!  Lot's of really cool sounding things in Korean.  I couldn't tell you what they are, but I know they're there! hahaha
This week had some fun experiences.  Monday we met with our awesome investigator who is just the nicest man in the history of the world.  Well so long as you're not lady gaga, he's the nicest person in the world.  Pretty strange, I mean just about every time we meet he brings up lady gaga and how she's evil and worships satan.  I refuse to hate on anyone at this point, but I would say he's got his heart in the right place.  He keeps all our commitments with regard to commandments but seems to struggle with reading a little more.  Not cause he can't read, I just think that he doesn't understand the importance.  Oh yeah, he brought up Macguyver in that lesson too.  I likened Macguyver to Nephi.  Don't question it, it's just what you gotta do with this guy.
Tuesday was interesting...  So we were going to try and just get to know the entirety of our area because there are some areas that my companion said he had never visited before and we get a referral from our district leader.  He says to call the guy that day.  So we did.  We ended up meeting that guy later that night.  One of the first things he says to me is "buy me some delicious meal."  The guy is like 65 and has food in his teeth still.  Just so you know, it's super anti Korean culture for someone younger than you to pay for your food.  It didn't really phase me too much, but I knew that he wanted money and wasn't super gospel interested.  We didn't really have time to have dinner with him either, and we had already eaten.  He basically just tried to friend us up and then all the sudden asks me for $50.  Now, I would have thought about it, had he given me valuable enough reason, and we were allowed to, and I had money to give, but it didn't really feel right.  So I told him about the church welfare program a little bit!  He said he'd come to general conference.  He didn't.  I feel kinda bad about that experience, but if I had given him that much money, I wouldn't have food for the rest of the week.  I don't know.  I don't like being asked for money though.
Wednesday was fun.  We were going to go look for this welfare center to try and find service but everything was closed because it was a national holiday.  Translated, it pretty much means the holiday for the Korean Alphabet.  They have weird holidays here in Korea.  Then again, valentine's and st patrick's aren't particularly normal really.  I guess I'm not one to throw stones.
Our district leader was over on exchanges so we did some finding together.  The guy is super fun.  Our zone and district over here are super fun.  Loving it super hard over here in Seoul South Stake of the Seoul South mission.
Fun story of the week, one of our roommates Elder Brewer, is a great guy.  Works hard and is loving missionary work a ton.  Wednesday when they were going to go on exchanges, he saw this guy and decided he needed to talk to him, but he kinda shrugged it off cause he said he needed to go to the bathroom.  When he came back outside, the guy was there, and he was walking into the subway station.  Elder Brewer tries to go and talk to him, and misses like a 3 inch step, and sprains his ankle.  He spent the rest of the day on crutches, and was kinda demoralized about it.  The next day after Zone training, he was taken to an acupuncture therapist cause Koreans are really into that stuff.  On his way back down into the subway station, he started taking off down the stairs on one foot, just hopping down.  His companion told him to take it a little easy, and use the crutches, which Elder Brewer also shrugged off.  Lo and behold, he sprains his other ankle.  Now we've got an Elder Brewer with two sprained ankles.  Not a fun situation for him to say the least, but I will say that it will make for an incredible story for his children.  He is however very house ridden for the most part.  We got him a wheel chair but he doesn't like it very much.  Hopefully he heals up quick so that he can be back out on the streets as soon as possible!!!
Zone training was cool.  We talked about some really cool things and set some goals for ourselves that are pretty awesome.  I'm excited to see them come to fruition over the next little while.  Also the story of secretariot the race horse is insnae!!!!!!!  I never knew about that!  Stuff is crazy.  anyways...
The day of zone training we met with that awesome investigator again, and he's still doing super awesome.  Still eaten up the gospel but having trouble reading every week.  We keep on reading with him for the beginning of our lessons, but he really needs to just read for himself.
Friday was my shift to stay home with the cripple for the evening and weekly planning so I spent a lot of time in the house just calling people and stuff.  Got a couple appointments for the next week so it was pretty cool.
The reason we did not get to go watch conference on Saturday was because we were house shopping in our area for the balance of the day!  It was pretty cool, the mission actually ended up buying a new apartment for there to be sisters that come into our ward at some point in the future.  It's not within my liberty to say when, because I am just a mere peon in the work, and I'm not running the show.  I'll let you know what happens when it happens.
Conference yesterday was all in Korean and our investigator made it out to it as well as some friends of some of the members!  Super awesome.  I'm excited to hear what the people said in English!  We also got to meet some really cool people that night  Pretty fun experience.
I'm loving it so hard out here!  Super awesome.
By the way  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SIBLINGS THIS WEEK!  If you know them say happy birthday and stuff.  If you don't, do it anyways.
Stay awesome, and keep on keeping on!

Hey President!
It was great to talk with you over the phone last week, and I look forward to seeing you next week at interviews!  We have a baptism coming up at the end of the month.  All signs point to it happening.  Such a great guy.  I've only met him twice, but he is amazing at seeing the good in people.  I'm really enjoying my time here in 강남 thus far.  I'm sure you've heard plenty of times that the ward wants sisters, which I could see helping out.  I understand it would be incredibly difficult getting them a place to live, but in my humble opinion they would be well received, and have success.  I'm really excited to keep working here with Elder Hale.  He's got a great desire to serve and wants to grow.  From what I can tell, he should be ready to train or the like in the not too distant future, and I'm excited to help him along the way.
I'll try and keep it short, but I did have one question.  Previously, I had been told that emailing at the church was expressly prohibited, but I guess it's something that had been happening for a while, and the bishop was okay with it.  I just wanted to hear from you about it.  We have found a better place at a 주민센터 in 서초 to email so we'll be going there, but I was curious just for future reference.
Thanks so much for all you do for us, and especially your letter last week!  I'm excited for what this transfer brings!  강남 ward is awesome!
Elder Clawson

Hey everyone!!!
This first week here in 강남 has been awesome!  I'm curious, when I type the names of places in Korean, would you prefer that I do it romanized, or in Korean like I have been doing?  I understand the balance of people who read my letters don't actually read Korean, but 강남 looks a lot cooler then Gangnam, and it sounds better too.  Well I guess that's only if you can read Korean that it sounds better, but whatever.  Just let me know if you would prefer things romanized rather than in Korean.
So we'll start before transfers.  Last pday was good.  We went to the place where we typically play pool and hung out for a while.  I got really good that day at this game called 사구(sagu) which is totally different from normal pool.  There are no pockets, and only 4 balls. Actually the name of the game literally means 4 balls.  There's two red ones, a orange one and a white one.  The white and orange are the cue balls so to speak, and the goal is to hit both red balls in the same hit.  If that game exists in America, let me know, cause it's super fun.  The cooler part of that experience was that it was the last time that I got to hang out with Murphy.  I guess that makes it kind of sad too.  I'm going to miss that kid!
Tuesday, we had lunch with one of the other members in that area who I'm good friends with.  His name is 이주왕 and he's hilarious.  He is on his phone all the time looking at food, but is like the skinniest guy ever.  I was kinda bummed to leave him too, but alas, I had to leave.  We can't stay in a place forever.
That same night, we were trying to go visit a bunch of people, but no one was really at home or anything.  I kind of new like every less active in the area having been there for a while, but naturally the missionary who just comes and bugs you all that time leaving isn't that sad of an occasion unfortunately.  We were walking by this big store, and my companions feet were bugging him so I said let's just go sit down.  Immediately after, this homeless guy who I've helped out with some things before comes up and says he's coming to church on Sunday.  Not two minutes after that, one of the coolest investigators we've had came out of the store and we talked to him for a while.  We had to kind of cut the conversation off because we had to get home for the night, but it was probably the best way that I could have ended that transfer.  With an investigator who really wants to know the truth, helping him as best we can.
Wednesday was transfers so then all the sudden I was in Gangnam.  Well sort of, we serve in gangnam, but live in Seocho which makes life interesting.  From what my companion has told me, because we live outside of our area and have to travel to get there all the time, we basically spend the balance of our time in this area broke.  So, as fortune would have it, I can now more or less claim the status of the poorest person living in the most wealthy area in all of Korea.  I think I said that before.  I'm sorry if I repeat things... I'm not perfect you know...  ^^
That day we met this lady who wants us to teach her son English, that went just fine.  She had felt a lot of pressure before apparently and part of our goal was to make her feel more comfortable towards the church.  Hope that works out for the better, she is a pretty nice lady.  Also we had English class which was cool, but it's a lot different only having two missionaries in an area after having had 6 just prior.  Big change in the way things go.  Still good though!
Thursday we met our next baptism!  This guy is super awesome, just so good at seeing the good in people.  He actually made me sympathize with Michael Jackson a lot more for why he was such a creep.  The guy just wants to be in a church that is a church 100% of the time.  Other churches talk about politics and economics and stuff, and that's what bugs him.  He just wants the gospel and has found the right place for it.  I'm pretty excited for him.
Friday we met this guy who had a solid foundation knowledge about the church already and speaks fluent English.  Apparently like everyone in Gangnam speaks english pretty well.  I still talk to most of them in Korean though.  Anyways, his english name is conan.  Super strange but whatever, he's a really nice guy, and has some very good impressions of the church.
I'm already getting in good with the cops over here too.  This cop stopped us and gave us a bunch of food this week.  While we were talking to him a bunch of other cops brought this guy in that was handcuffed.  Based on what I heard, this guy was a repeat offender at something.  It was like the 5th time they had brought him in.  Not sure what for yet, but they ushered us out of the police station in a hurry so that they could take care of whatever that was...
Saturday we participated in the rival soccer game between our ward and the Seocho ward.  It was pretty fun.  We lost, but it was still a good time.  The other missionaries tried to hold it over our heads, but neither of them really played and me and my comp played like the whole game.  Super good time.
My comp is Elder Hale and he went to the same high school as Elder Hunter, in fact he knew Elder Hunter.  He's the year below him in graduating class but they still new each other.  In fact, in our house, I'm the oldest one in mission age and actual age.  Kinda crazy.  Anyways Elder Hale has got a desire to get work done and that's what we're gonna do.
Church was pretty great.  Incidentally there is this girl in our ward from the phillipines that is on the Korean equivalent of American Idol, not called Korean Idol though.  I didn't talk to her though, just heard about her.  The ward is pretty cool, a lot of older folks because they are so wealthy that they just send all their kids to america to go to school whether it be high school or college or what have you.  Still super good, and they're excited for missionary work.
Actually, fun experience, last night, we were trying to find some less actives, and all we had was what apartment building they lived at, so we asked around a little, and then this old lady took us to the land lord and tried to help us find who we were looking for.  She said the only reason she helped us is because we were foreign and she could tell we were good people.  Success.
Welp, I'm running out of time.  I tried to include as many experiences as I could, but I'm sure there's stuff I miss.  Hope all is going well for everyone and I'll talk to you next week!

Hey Everyone!
Yep you guessed it I'm being trasnferred to Gangnam.  What's up with that!?!?!  Pretty cool I guess!  Well actually I won't be living in Gangnam, I'll be living in it's sister city Seocho, which is only slightly less affluent that gangnam.  Don't worry, I don't think that our house is very nice.  We will not be having it made in some crazy foreign city.  Well actually I guess we will, getting to do missionary work in a foreign country and not really having to worry about anything else?  I'd say that's having it made.  Well I guess not really nothing else to worry about, at least for the next few weeks.  I have to worry about getting my visa extended.  Because the office elders kinda slacked on getting my packet to me to do it, now I have about 3 weeks to get it all squared away or I can get deported.  Not to mention that I have to wait until I live in my new house to do it because it has to use the most recent address.  A little stressful I'd say, but I'm sure that it'll work out just fine.  Hopefully no fines or deportation will be incurred.
This last week here in 안양 has been pretty fun.  Monday myself and one of the zone leaders went on exchanges.  It was pday, but we still started the exchange because the zone leaders are supposed to go on exchanges with the district leaders once a transfer cycle, and they still hadn't done it, so we did it then.  After pday, we went and had something to do at 6 but I forgot what it was, maybe preparing for our skit that we delivered on saturday or something, I don't remember, but that's not the cool part!  Afterwards, we went and tried to visit this less active who I've been trying to meet for a solid 5 months, and had little to no success the whole time.  Well we finally met her!!!  She's super nice, and based on a very interesting series of events, is actually going to come to church on sunday as well!!  After like 2 years of inactivity, she and her family are making their way back.  So awesome.  The ward loved them when they made it back too.
It was kind of funny, the ward was just all over the place because I was leaving, and a fair portion of the ward like me, thankfully.  I tried really hard to be good friends with all of them.  So there was me having my last sunday there, and then that less active family, it was kinda sad and awesome at the same time.  Actually I was probably the only one who was sad, because I'm leaving and they all get to stay.  I'm one of two people in my zone of 20 that are getting trasnferred actually.  Kinda crazy.  Fortunately there's going to be a lot of changes that occur in the future actually. 18 missionaries are coming in next transfer and then 18 more the next.  Gonna be awesome!!!!
This week we had zone conference which was pretty great.  Our wards bishop came and talked about working with less actives.  He was really impressed with how many missionaries were there.  Only two zones were in attendence and there were 42 missionaries there.  Kinda crazy at least for Korea.  I don't know what it's like in other missions, but that's pretty big here.  President talked about some really cool stuff too, as did his wife.  They're so awesome!
We had an open house on saturday which was pretty cool.  Not too many people that were nonmembers came and I could tell that it kind of disappointed our bishop.  I felt simlar to that too.  We worked hard to try and get everyone involved and havea bunch of people invite friends but only like 7 nonmembers came to the 40 something members that came.  Our skit was a total success though!  We were sort of teaching the first lesson through it.  We did it by having like a play within a play.  We had a family and they were in family home evening and the kids didn't know some things, so we acted stuff out, hence play within a play.  Super fun.  I got to be Joseph Smith.  That was super fun too!
I'm super stoked for conference in a couple weeks!  Going to be so awesome.  I say a couple weeks because we don't get to watch it on conference weekend, but the weekend following actually.  So I guess things are a little different in different parts of the world!  Still going to be great though.
I'm kind of bummed to leave anyang but I know that it's going to be great wherever I go!  Plus I get to have the bragging rights for having had the opportunity to live in Gangnam!!!
